Dr. Meade Avery grew up in Lyme, New Hampshire. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Dr. Avery's professional interests include solid organ transplant and health equity. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, she hopes to pursue specialty residency training. Ultimately, her goal is to practice in an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist with the opportunity to precept and mentor learners. In her free time, she enjoys playing ice hockey, spending time with loved ones, and exploring the city. Dr. Avery would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering support and encouragement.

Dr. Emily Baraclough is originally from Waynesboro, Virginia. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Dr Baraclough’s professional interests include internal medicine and infectious disease. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training. She would like to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist where she will have opportunities to precept students and residents. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, reading, traveling, and exploring local coffee shops. Dr. Baraclough would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their ongoing support and encouragement throughout her journey!

Dr. Corinne Berkery is from Pearl River, New York and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Jefferson College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Berkery's professional interests include cardiology and critical care. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue a specialty residency training in one of her interest areas. Ultimately, she would like to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist where she will have opportunities to precept students/residents and participate in research. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going for walks with her dog Adderall (Addie), exploring new restaurants, pilates, and traveling. Dr. Berkery would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering support and encouragement.

Dr. Sadora Franklin is from White Hall, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 and continued her education at Pitt to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2025 with a concentration in Geriatrics and Palliative Care. Dr. Franklin's professional interests include pain management, palliative care, and substance use disorders. After the completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training. Her goal is to ultimately practice as a board-certified clinical pharmacy specialist, serving as a preceptor and mentor for future residents and students. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, and practicing yoga. Dr. Franklin would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their guidance and support on her journey.

Dr. Deslynne Henkel is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. Dr. Henkel's professional interests include critical care, cardiology, and internal medicine. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training. Ultimately, her goal is to serve as a board-certified clinical specialist at an academic medical center, where she hopes to create meaningful opportunities to precept and mentor students and residents. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring nature through walks, and listening to music. Dr. Henkel is deeply grateful to God, her family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering love, support, and guidance throughout her journey.

Dr. Mikayla Mariano is originally from Oregon, Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University, Raabe College of Pharmacy. Dr. Mikayla Mariano’s professional interests include pediatrics, oncology, hematology, and translational research. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training and ultimately practice as a board-certified specialist at an academic medical center. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys lifting weights, country music, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her loved ones. Dr. Mariano would like to thank her mentors, her boyfriend, and her sister for all of their endless support and encouragement.

Dr. Remizowski is originally from New York Mills, New York. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Cincinnati, James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. Prior to pharmacy, she spent fifteen years as a professional pianist, earning her Bachelors of Music from SUNY Potsdam, Masters of Music from Florida State University, and four years of doctoral study at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty training in either critical care or infectious disease. Ultimately, her goal is to practice as a board-certified clinical specialist in an academic medical center, with opportunities to precept and engage in research. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys powerlifting, baking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her loving husband and ornery cat.

Dr. Roxy Vassighi grew up in South Jersey and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Haverford College before completing her Doctor of Pharmacy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include critical care and emergency medicine, where she enjoys the fast-paced environment and collaborative nature of care. After completing her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, Dr. Vassighi plans to pursue specialty residency training to further develop her clinical expertise. She hopes to practice at a large academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist, where she can contribute to patient care, engage in research, and give back to future pharmacy students through teaching and mentorship, just as many mentors have done for her. In the long term, Dr. Vassighi hopes to integrate her passion for global public health with her pharmacy training to expand access to high-quality care on an international scale. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys staying active through Pure Barre, running, long walks, and discovering new coffee shops. Dr. Vassighi is grateful to her family and friends for their continued support throughout her journey.

Dr. Sarah Hou is originally from Clearwater, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Chinese from Grinnell College, followed by her Master of Public Health and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from University of Iowa. Sarah is in her first year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Her professional interests include operations management, public health, medication safety, and human factors engineering. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, eating good food, and playing videogames. Dr. Hou would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continuous love, support, and encouragement.

Dr. SeHan Jeong is from Dallas, Texas. She has completed both her Bachelor of Sciences in Public Health and Doctor of Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, New York. Han is in her first year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Professional interests include analytics and strategic planning, healthcare innovations in technology and clinicals, and collaborative teamwork. Outside of work, Han enjoys exploring museums, watching musicals, and visiting libraries.

Dr. Shay Roth is originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, and continued her education at Pitt to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with concentrations in Global Health and Pharmacotherapy in 2024. She is in her second year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree in Health Care Management at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Shay’s professional interests include global and public health, clinical pharmacy management, increasing access to care and health literacy in underserved populations, and advocating for the advancement of pharmacy practice. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, rescuing animals, crocheting, and hiking. Dr. Roth would like to thank God, her parents, family, friends, mentors, and Pitt Pharmacy family for the love, support, and guidance that inspired her to pursue a career in pharmacy leadership.

Dr. Kate Stevenson is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cedarville University. Following completion of her undergraduate studies, Kate remained at Cedarville University to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, concentrated in advanced clinical practice and pharmacotherapy. Kate is in her second year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Her professional interests include inpatient operations, continuous quality improvement, and pharmacy practice advancement. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, pilates, attending concerts, and traveling. Dr. Stevenson would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their constant support and encouragement.

Dr. Caroline Fan is originally from Bridgewater, New Jersey. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency training at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. Dr. Fan’s professional interests include hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant. Her long-term career goals include practicing as a board-certified clinical oncology pharmacy specialist at a large academic medical center to provide comprehensive care to all patients. Dr. Fan likes to spend her free time trying new food and restaurants, painting, and traveling. Dr. Fan would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their invaluable support, guidance, and encouragement.

Dr. Joseph Robinson was born and raised in Colonial Heights, Virginia. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency training at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. His professional interests in oncology include thoracic malignancies and personalized medicine. In his down-time, Joseph enjoys fishing, exercising, and anything else outdoors with friends. Joseph looks forward to the development of clinical skills and new relationships through his PGY-2 Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University and completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Swartz’s professional interests include immunotherapies, bone marrow transplantation, hematologic malignancies, and infectious diseases.
