Upcoming Cohort Application Process and Timeline

• Step 1:
  • Submit Your Application: Apply online through the Johns Hopkins Careers website and search for the position title "Pharmacy Technician Trainee."
  • Application Period:
    • Opens: January 4, 2027, at 10:00 a.m.
    • Closes: January 10, 2027, at 11:59 p.m.
  • Important Notes:
    • Applicants interested in multiple locations must submit a separate application for each location.
    • Applicants interested in Baltimore-area sites (The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Care at Home Community Pharmacy) only need to apply to the single "Baltimore Trainee" requisition.
  Step 2:
  • Recruiter Pre-Screening: Selected applicants will be contacted by a recruiter to complete a pre-screening questionnaire and phone interview. All requested information must be completed within the designated timeframe to remain under consideration.
  • All Pre-Screening will be finalized by: January 20, 2027
• Step 3:
  • Pre-Assessment Scheduling: Applicants advancing to the next stage will be contacted by a member of the pharmacy team to schedule pre-assessments.
  • Pre-assessment period: January 27, 2027, through February 17, 2027
• Step 4:
  • Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited to interview with representatives from their respective pharmacy department.
  • Meeting eligibility requirements outlined in Steps 1-3 does not guarantee selection for an interview. Selection for an interview is competitive and shall be determined by the hiring entity based on organizational needs. 
  • Interview Period: February 15, 2027, through March 5, 2027
• Step 5:
  • Employment Offers: Final employment offers will be extended by March 15, 2027.
• Step 6:
  • Program Start Date: The Spring 2027 Pharmacy Technician Training Program Cohort will begin on April 19, 2027.
