Summer Teaching Camp Goes Virtual

The Institute for Excellence in Education (IEE), in conjunction with the Office of Faculty, is happy to announce that 2021 IEE Summer Teaching Camp will be all “virtual” and held on July 22-23. We have an exciting program planned with an interactive and engaging learning experience, small and large group activities, discussions and virtual networking.

CME credit will be available for camp.

★ Foundations of Teaching and Learning will be offered Thursday morning.

★ Friday morning will offer large group and small group breakout sessions.

★ Both afternoons include forums and selection from a series of workshops.

  1. We will use Zoom for all sessions of camp.
  2. To maximize a quality learning experience, session registration will be limited to 60 attendees for Foundations of Teaching and Learning, and workshop registration will be limited to 30 participants.
  3. Participants can sign up for 1,1.5 or 2 days.

Teaching Camp Fees: Hopkins full-time faculty members may use their tuition remission benefit for the camp fee, or, if not using tuition remission, may follow instructions on the registration page to use a credit card to pay the fee. Non-Hopkins teaching camp registrants may pay for the camp fee following instructions on the registration page using a credit card. Hopkins SOM students, residents, postdocs and fellows only: attendance is free, please contact if you are a JHUSOM learner interested in attending camp.

  • 2 Days: $599
  • 1.5 Days: $499
  • 1 Day: $399
  • Hopkins Students, Residents, Clinical and Post Doc Fellows ONLY: Fee waived

Full- and Part-Time Faculty, Student and Trainee participation in all aspects of the program is encouraged.
