The Institute for Excellence in Education (IEE), in conjunction with the Office of Faculty, is happy to announce a new format for Teaching Camp. We are offering two, one-day standalone days:

  • Summer Teaching Camp - July 25, 2024

 Summer Camp Schedule

  • Winter Teaching Camp - 2025 Date to be Determined (All Virtual)

Schedule for the day:

  • 8:00 - 8:15am Welcome and Goals for Camp
  • 8:15 - 12:00pm Foundations of Assessment and Evaluation
  • 12:00 - 1:00pm Lunch/Medical Education Jeopardy
  • 1:00 - 5:00pm Creating Inclusive Learning Environment

CME credit will be available for camp.

Summer Teaching Camp Fees: Fees include breakfast and lunch

  • Foundations of Teaching and Learning: $450
  • Medical Education Jeopardy: Free
  • Foundations of Mentoring, Coaching and Advising: $450

Hopkins faculty may use their tuition remission benefit for the camp fee, or, if not using tuition remission, may follow instructions on the registration page to use a credit card to pay the fee. Non-Hopkins teaching camp registrants may pay for the camp fee following instructions on the registration page using a credit card.

  • The Foundations courses offered for camp are priced separately and determined when registration is completed
  • Hopkins Students, Residents, Clinical and Post Doc Fellows ONLY: Fee waived

Full- and Part-Time Faculty, Student and Trainee participation in all aspects of the program is encouraged.
