The Armstrong Institute’s mission is to eliminate patient harm, achieve best patient outcomes, and share that knowledge through our research and training programs.

We provide an infrastructure that oversees, coordinates and supports patient safety and quality efforts across the Johns Hopkins' integrated health care system and beyond. Our extensive team of experts offer services to support quality and safety improvement efforts in healthcare systems throughout the world. 

By working with like-minded organizations, we expand the Armstrong Institute’s vision of a broad healthcare system that is highly reliable, wastes less and consistently delivers high-quality, respectful care.

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has been recognized as a top pediatric hospital for patient safety and quality. They are one of eight children’s hospitals nationwide – and the only one in the Tampa Bay area – to receive this honor from the Leapfrog Group.
