When you make the appointment to get the travel immunizations, try to schedule at least 2-4 weeks before your travel.

Please notify the person scheduling your visit that you have been approved for an elective abroad. The travel clinic staff will note and send the bill for the immunizations to University Health Services for review.

Once authorization is determined, payment for the travel immunizations is sent directly to the travel clinic’s billing department.

Please note, your SHP insurance does not allow benefits for travel immunizations.

If for any reason, you get a bill for approved travel immunizations, do not pay it, and contact University Health Services at 410-955-3872 for immediate assistance. Please note that this benefit applies only for approved electives and does not apply to personal travel.
