Amir grew up in Weston, MA. He studied molecular biology in college and completed a post-bac research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. He enjoys tennis, cooking, and hanging out with his co-residents. He loves the Baltimore food scene, getting ice cream at B'more Licks, and playing tennis in Patterson Park.

Basil attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his undergraduate studies and went to the University of Pennsylvania for his MD-PhD. He is interested in solid tumor biology, with a particular interest in pancreatic cancer. He is pursuing oncology fellowship and has found the scientific community at Johns Hopkins to be as supportive and rich as he could have hoped for when looking for a residency.

Mary grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky for college and medical school. After residency, she is interested in pursuing a fellowship in oncology. In her spare time, she enjoys running and hiking at the many beautiful state parks close to Baltimore. She also enjoys exploring the city of Baltimore, trying new restaurants, and seeing musicals at the Hippodrome. Her favorite part about the Osler Medical Residency is learning from her co-residents who challenge and support her every day.


Tom Boyle, MD

Tom grew up in New Jersey, where he was a volunteer EMT along with his father and brother. This led him to pursue science and medicine as an undergraduate at Duke. He attended medical school at the Miller School of Medicine in Miami. He loves Orioles games and taking advantage of the incredible number of hikes and waterways within a short drive of Baltimore. Tom's wife is a Harriet Lane pediatrics resident. They can often be found in Patterson park with their dog Riggins. 


Max Brodsky, MD

Max was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Baltimore, MD. He attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where he earned a BA in Medicine, Health, & Society. It was at Vanderbilt that he began his hematology research career, where he authored a manuscript on risk-factors for 30-day readmission in adults with sickle cell disease. He then attended the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. In 2017, he was awarded the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Physician Scientist Career Development Award and completed a research award year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  His research focused on myeloproliferative neoplasms. Outside of medicine, he is a professional DJ by the name of “DJ AirMax”.  He has DJ’ed all across the nation at weddings, bars, clubs, fundraisers, international medical conferences, and more!  His passion for music runs deep and he especially loves hip-hop, R&B, funk, jazz, and soul music. He also enjoys basketball, weight training, roller skating, cooking, and travel. Max is humbled and honored to train alongside such intelligent, dynamic, and compassionate people in The Osler Medicine Residency and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.  He is grateful to be back in Baltimore and serve the community that he calls home. 


Jacob Burns, MD

Jacob grew up in central New Jersey, before moving to Chicago to attend undergrad and medical school at Northwestern University (Go 'Cats!). Jacob hopes to pursue a fellowship in cardiology and envisions a career that combines patient care and clinical research. Jacob's favorite thing about the Osler Residency is the passion that everyone from residents to the most distinguished and senior faculty share for medical education and making the program as great as it can be. When not in the hospital, Jacob enjoys biking, watching games at Camden Yards (particularly when the Yankees are in town) and spending too much time at used record stores around the city.

Michael grew up in Boston, MA. He studied Neuroscience, Global Health and Arabic in college and spent a year teaching in England before starting medical school. He is interested in a career in Cardiology with a focus on research and international care delivery. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing tennis, discovering new music, and expanding his culinary capability beyond mac 'n cheese. Above all, he enjoys the camaraderie and positivity of the Osler Medical Program where everyone supports one another in becoming the best physician possible. His favorite activities in Baltimore include walking along the harbor, exploring the food scene with co-residents, and enjoying the views from Federal Hill. 


Chloe Duvall, MD

Chloe was born in Butler, Pennsylvania. She attended college at Bucknell University where she earned a BS in biology, and medical school at the University of Maryland. She and her husband participated in the couples match and were happy to learn that Baltimore would continue to be their home for the next few years. They moved across town to Canton where they enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood, unwinding on their rooftop deck and exploring the Baltimore food scene. Chloe also loves running along the waterfront, in Patterson Park, or on the nearby NCR trail. Her favorite thing about the Osler Medical Residency is working with her fellow residents, who are a constant source of support and inspiration. She is interested in cardiology and currently involved in research on cardiac sarcoid.


Margueritta El Asmar, MD

Margueritta was born in Lebanon, and grew up in the UAE  prior to returning to Lebanon for education. She majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at LAU before moving to AUB for medical school. Prior to joining the Osler program, she did cancer immunology research at the BKI institute at JHH under the mentorship of Dr. Drew Pardoll, where she explored the fascinating realm of immune system responses to cancer. She enjoys travelling, exploring new places/restaurants, painting, game nights and most recently has found a new love for gardening. She is grateful to be part of the Osler program, with its incredibly supportive leadership and fun co-residents (now family), and loves Baltimore, the hidden charm city. She particularly enjoys the food scene, the welcoming nature of Baltimore and its residents, and taking walks in its different neighborhoods, each fascinating in its own unique way. 


Lea Fayad, MD

Lea grew up in the north of Lebanon with 3 younger siblings, including twin brothers. For her undergraduate studies, she moved to Beirut to study Psychology and then obtained her MD at the American University of Beirut. After graduating medical school, she came to Johns Hopkins to complete a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, focusing mainly on advanced endoscopy. Over the years, Baltimore has become her second home. It is the city where she met her now fiancée, who is an orthopedic surgery resident here as well. It is also the city where she learned to cook and do yoga, which have become her favorite pastimes. She is on a quest to try every single good restaurant in the city and Baltimore has not disappointed! As an intern in the Osler program, she loved how learning is built into the program structure in a way that allows your time away from the hospital to be truly yours. Her seniors were exceptional clinicians and educators and she is very excited to pay it forward.


David Feldman, MD, MPH

David was born and raised in Miami, FL. He graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Human Biology, Health and Society. After college, David spent two years as a research fellow at the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease. He then attended the University of Miami where he earned his MD and MPH. David hopes to pursue a career in academic cardiology that is focused on the primary and secondary prevention of ASCVD. In his free time, David loves playing all sports, especially golf and tennis. He is also a fanatic New York Yankees, Miami Heat and Tiger Woods fan. The part about the Osler Medical Residency that David values most is his amazing group of co-residents. Whether in the hospital caring for patients or outside the hospital exploring Baltimore (i.e with a beer at Max's, walking Sparks Trail, or at the driving range), David feels that his time spent with his co-residents is always special.

Andy Gagel, MD

Andy Gagel

Andy was born in Houston, Texas. His birth was memorable in that he was the first in his family to be born in Texas and, thus, the only true Texan in the family.  He attended Dartmouth College where he earned a BA in History and captained the lacrosse team. He got lost on the way to law school, enrolling in a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Pennsylvania and subsequently the University of Texas at Houston McGovern Medical School.  Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, biking, hanging out with his dog, Hobbes, and being Rishi's shoulder on which to cry. Andy misses his tacos and BBQ but has grown to appreciate pit beef. He bikes in the area as much as he can, especially the Baltimore-Annapolis bike trail. He is amazed on a daily basis at the quality of the people with which he gets to work, notably Admasu.

Michael was born in San Francisco, California and shortly thereafter moved to Huntsville, Alabama where he grew up. He studied Biology and Spanish at the University of Alabama before pursuing his medical degree at UAB in Birmingham. Michael enjoys cooking, gardening, and outdoor activities including camping, skiing, and white-water rafting. He's an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and loves getting together with friends to watch a football game. His favorite aspects of the Osler program are the collegiality and mutual support among the Housestaff and the shared dedication to excellent patient care. His favorite things to do on a day off in Baltimore are getting pizza at Joe Benny's, catching an Orioles/Ravens game, or getting brunch down by the harbor.


Rachel Goldberg, MD, MBA

Rachel grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts with her close-knit family. She went to Penn for undergrad and went straight to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. She loved the medicine aspects of her third-year rotations and so ended up applying into IM. She also was involved in a health incubator and got an MBA between third and fourth year of medical school. In her free time, she loves yoga/working out, getting dinner with friends, watching the bachelor, traveling and planning birthdays. The best thing about Hopkins is the people - she loves her friends, and how much focus there is on teaching and autonomy. She live in Fells and loves the Baltimore wineries and walks around the harbor.

Merve was born in Pittsburgh, raised in Oklahoma, and transplanted to Baltimore in high school. She attended Princeton where she majored in Psychology and Global Health, but most importantly competed internationally on the Princeton Bhangra team. She attended med school at Virginia Commonwealth University (shout out to her co-JAR Ryan!) and completed an MPH at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Outside of medicine, Merve recently invested in an inflatable kayak and thrives on water-associated outdoor adventure. In an alternate life she would be a hip-hop cardio dance instructor. Merve loves her co-residents who inspire her to be a better clinician and better human every day!


Zoey Harris, MD

Zoey Harris is originally from Cleveland, OH, where she was raised along with her sister Erica by their mother Heidi. After completing high school, she attended the University of Arizona, earning her undergraduate degree in Nutrition followed by medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. Zoey has been interested in Hematology/Oncology as a specialty since undergrad, where she worked in a basic science lab involved in developing therapies for salivary gland dysfunction resulting from radiation treatment for head and neck cancer. Her hobbies include running, eating watermelon, and doing paint by numbers until she’s frustrated by it. Her favorite part of the Osler Medical Residency is Sanjay. Her favorite part of Baltimore is running along the harbor and stopping early to get ice cream from Bmore licks instead, as well as trying new restaurants with her husband Andrew.

Kathleen hails from Cincinnati, OH where she used to work as a cocktail pianist.  Now as a Longcope JAR she is grateful for the chance to learn from, work alongside, and find 2AM coffee with her amazing co-residents!  She hopes to be a pulmonary and critical care physician some day, and in the meantime is soaking up as much ICU knowledge as possible.  When not in the hospital, she can be found singing show tunes with her sisters, assembling cheese trays, or watching reruns of the West Wing.  Favorite Bmore highlights include the NCR trail, Patterson Park, Nepenthe Brewing Co, and the Food Market's cauliflower tempura.

Merna was born in Cairo, Egypt, and grew up in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She completed her undergraduate studies, as well as medical school at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar. What she enjoys the most about the Osler Medical Residency is the rich educational environment it fosters, and the humility it instills in each resident. Being an international medical graduate, she appreciates the diversity of house-staff and faculty, and finds it natural to fit in. She never passes on an opportunity to explore Baltimore's food scene and nearby hiking trails.

Tim was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for his undergrad, where he received a BS in Chemistry and BA in Theatre Arts. He obtained his MD at Saint Louis University where he discovered his interest in rheumatology and medical education. His hobbies outside of medicine include live theatre and performing, cooking, and travel. The thing he loves most about the Osler Medical Residency is the passion for learning and growth all the residents foster, and the community of support that they have built together. His favorite part of Baltimore is the harbor, as well as all the great hole-in-the-wall restaurants throughout the city.


Mike Kozik, MD

Mike grew up in the Chicago suburbs. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he studied Biology & Philosophy while researching organic chemistry. He then attended Loyola University Chicago, where he earned a masters in physiology and fostered an interest in cardiac physiology. He moved back to Columbia, SC for medical school at the University of South Carolina. He and his wife now live in Hampden, one of Baltimore's more eclectic neighborhoods. They love taking their French Bulldogs (Pamb & Gus Gus) along The Avenue, a well-known strip of bars, restaurants, and shops on Hampden's 36th St. Outside of medicine, Mike loves exploring the restaurant scene and playing guitar. Mike was drawn to the Osler Medical Residency by the passion for learning exuded by everyone he met on interview day. He loves working with colleagues and faculty that build up each other every day. 


Meg Krasne, MD, MPH

Meg is a Washington DC native who went to Penn, where she studied Health and Societies and played on the varsity softball team. She came to medicine late and attended Bryn Mawr's Post-Baccalaureate Pre-medical Program before spending a year doing breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She went to Harvard Medical School, where she worked with Ariadne Labs' BatterBirth Program and spent a fifth year receiving an MPH. She is interested in healthcare delivery, systems, and innovation. She enjoys watching movies, biking, and trying new restaurants in Baltimore (pandemic permitting!). Meg loves her co-residents and thinks the clinical training that residents receive in the Osler Medical Residency Program is unparalleled. 


Ardian Latifi, MD

Ardian was born and raised in Connecticut, he is the younger of two siblings. He graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2015 with degrees in Chemistry, Biology, and Spanish. Afterwards, he attended UConn (Go Huskies!) for medical school where he first got involved in medical education as a 4th year by precepting a clinical skills class for 1st years. As an Osler resident, he joined the inaugural group of the residency’s Medical Education Pathway. He plans on pursuing a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care. His favorite part of the program is ACS Rounds on the O and all the fun friendly competitions between the Firms! His favorite thing to do is watch Liverpool FC dominate the Premier League at Baltimore’s Official Supporters Club Bar- Smaltimore. 


Brandon Law, MD

Brandon is from Southern California. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology and developed an interest in basic science research. He then attended Harvard Medical School through the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology and pursued a medical research fellowship supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Outside medicine, he enjoys fishing, running, and cooking. He appreciates the strong clinical culture of the Osler Medical Residency and looks forward to continuing his training here as a Rheumatology Fellow. As a Baltimore resident, he enjoys hiking in nearby parks and finding the best crab cakes in town.

Jessica was born and raised in Irvine, California. She attended Pomona College, where she majored in Neuroscience. She then obtained an MD/MBA from Baylor College of Medicine and the Jones School of Business at Rice University. She made her way out east to Baltimore when she couples matched with her husband (Radiation Oncology). Her favorite parts of residency have been her co-residents and the supportive atmosphere at Hopkins. She has enjoyed exploring Baltimore and the surrounding areas during her time in residency.

Nick was born in San Jose, CA and went to Princeton University for undergrad, majoring in organic chemistry. He worked with Gilead Sciences briefly prior to medical school, working on drug discovery and design for novel kinase inhibitors. He attended medical school at Hopkins and is planning to pursue fellowship in Oncology with an ultimate career focus on drug development and novel therapeutics. He enjoys cooking, hiking, and indoor bouldering. To him, the Osler program provides a collaborative environment focused on learning together and providing mentors and opportunity to maximize personal development and growth.

Patrick grew up in Calgary, Canada -- a city located in the prairies near Banff and the Rocky Mountains. Academically, Patrick is interested in genomics and other applications of technology to medicine. In his spare time Patrick enjoys running, bicycling, and reading. His co-residents are his favorite part of the Osler Residency. Patrick greatly values their friendship, as well as the inspiration and motivation they bring. Things Patrick loves about Baltimore include the neighborly feel, the mild climate, the beautiful harbor, and the many gems of the local food scene.

Aisha grew up in the Northern parts of Nigeria where her parents and family still reside. She came to the US for her Undergraduate Studies at George Washington University where she obtained her B.S. in Biology and went on to receive her MPH from Dartmouth College due to her interest in public and global health before completing medical school at Case Western Reserve University. She loves to practice Bikram Yoga and one day hopes to be a certified instructor. She also loves traveling and photography. Aisha enjoys the irreplaceable love and support that the Osler community has provided throughout residency. She enjoys walking through Patterson Park and Canton Waterfront, shopping on W36th street and eating at local favorites like Clavel.


Mari Nakazawa, MD, MHS

Mari was raised in Kobe, Japan and moved to Baltimore, MD for college at the age of 18. She studied Chemical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and attended medical school at the University of Kentucky. She is interested in medical oncology, with a research interest in castration resistant prostate cancer and the development of therapeutic resistance. Mari played soccer and softball growing up and enjoys staying active (she recently started learning to play golf). Her other interests include travel and food. Mari is thrilled to be back in Baltimore to join the Osler Residency and is honored to be training with co-residents who are passionate about medicine and patient care. Her favorite part about Baltimore is the food scene (some favorites include Blue Moon Cafe, Sotto Sopra, and Thames Street Oyster House).

Peyton grew up just outside of Birmingham, AL, where he envisioned a life as an astronaut or professional (at least college?) athlete. He then went to Auburn University, where he studied chemical engineering after failing to reach his previous aspirations. In a moment of uncertainty, he applied to medical school and ultimately matriculated at UAB. As an MS-2, he took a leave of absence to complete a PhD at Harvard, where he studied muscle tissue engineering and dabbled in BBQ entrepreneurship. Despite initially planning to fast-track into cardiology, he now envisions a physician-scientist career in oncology. Peyton relishes spending time with his co-residents, who have become his closest friends, inside and outside the hospital. He enjoys general snobbery whether that is food, coffee, or cocktails and is glad to share a list of Baltimore establishments that meet his standards.

Joan grew up a little bit everywhere- Minnesota, California, Missouri, Illinois. Eventually, she moved back to the Southside of Chicago for college and then to the Bronx for medical school. Both cities taught her the importance of primary care for under-resourced communities. She chose to come to Baltimore in order to learn how to bring quality medicine to such communities. Favorite things to do in Baltimore: hitting up thrift stores, walking through the many neighborhoods, and visiting the weekend farmer's markets.

Daniel Peters was raised in Clemson, South Carolina. He left “Tiger Country” to become a Gamecock at the University of South Carolina where he graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He stayed in Columbia, SC to attend medical school. During this time, he developed an interest in Hematology & Oncology due to the mentorship of two influential Osler Alumni. In joining the Osler residency himself, Daniel has been particularly impacted by the focus on autonomy and emphasis on generating well-rounded physicians. When not in the hospital, Daniel and his fiancée enjoy spending time in Patterson Park with their dog, Duncan, and exploring new restaurants and breweries in the Baltimore area. He is also known to hand roll sushi dinners for friends and neighbors.

Resham was born in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to her forever home - Meridian, Mississippi. She attended Millsaps College where she earned a bachelors of science in biochemistry and mathematics. She then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she advocated against health disparities in the Jackson metropolitan region. Beyond medicine, her interests include finding the best ice cream spot in Baltimore (BMore Licks vs Charmery), spending the morning at Pitango, and walking along the Harbor (and finding Osler friends along the way). She is grateful to be a member of the Osler Medical Residency among world leaders as her mentors and peers who challenge her to be the best version of herself.

Mike was born in Worcester, MA and raised in Dallas, TX. He returned to New England to attend Dartmouth College, where he earned a BA in cell biology. He then worked for two years in healthcare consulting before starting medical school at Penn, where he took an HHMI-funded research year in Dr. John Maris’ laboratory to study the impact of germline mutations in neuroblastoma. Mike chose to join the Osler residency because of a culture of going above and beyond for patients. Since coming to Hopkins, he's been impressed each day by the humility, generosity, and tenacity of his co-residents, and he feels lucky to learn and grow with them. He enjoys spending time with his wife Olivia, an Internal Medicine/Primary Care resident at Johns Hopkins Bayview, and their two doggos, Winnie and Arthur. They’ve found that the Baltimore area has ample opportunities to take the dogs exploring, from Patterson Park to Patapsco Valley.

Mike Rose was born and raised on the windswept plains of Lynchburg, North Dakota (population 10!). He attended Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota where he majored in Biology and Chemistry and attained his MPH in health policy from the Harvard School of Public Health. He enjoys any time outdoors, but his favorite hobbies are fishing and canoeing especially in Northern Minnesota / BWCA. His favorite part of the Osler program is the unique teaching/learning opportunities of the program paired with the supportive culture that allows it to thrive. He loves Baltimore's waterfront and scrumptious seafood - of course the crab cakes, but his pro tip is to tried a crab stuffed soft pretzel (recs for Smalltimore or Nick's Fish House).

Natalie was raised in Chappaqua, New York. She went to the University of Pennsylvania where she studied medical anthropology and global health and minored in psychology. After college, she completed her post-baccalaureate studies at Columbia University while engaging in metabolic bone disease research at the Hospital for Special Surgery. In medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, she was on the executive board of the Orthopedic Surgery Society before finding her true passion in internal medicine. While in the Osler Program, she is part of the Medical Education Pathway. She hopes to one day pursue hematology and oncology in addition to a career in medical education. As for her hobbies, she loves everything about food, traveling, outdoor adventures, and sports (despite, unfortunately, being raised as a NY sports fan). In her spare time, she loves spending time with her co-JARS, exploring the many restaurants of Baltimore, taking day trips outside of the city (the vineyards are a must), and paddle boarding around Baltimore.

Amitte was born in Pittsburgh, PA, bleeding black and gold from day one. She studied human biology at Brown University and then took a detour for a couple years and worked in management consulting. She attended Yale University for medical school where she was further inspired to pursue a career in primary care and health justice. Outside of medicine she loves creating dishes out of whatever is left in the fridge and getting lost on runs in new neighborhoods. She has loved the camaraderie, collaborative spirit and passion for learning that runs deep in the Osler Medical Residency. Lindsay and her older brother Ryan (also a med-peds doc!) grew up in the Appalachian mountains of Kentucky and then moved to the Gulf Coast of Alabama, where moss on tree branches hangs low and shrimp swim abundantly! She then studied religion in undergrad at Birmingham-Southern College before going on to complete med school and public health training at UAB. Lindsay enjoys HIIT workouts, walks with friends, long days at museums (seriously, this girl LOVES museums), wine clubs with monthly shipments, and truly excellent television such as Love Island UK and anything in The Bachelor franchise. She values the camaraderie of her fellow Oslerians, the hilarity of Turkey Rounds, and the classy look of Janeway mustaches. Her favorite parts of Baltimore include but are not limited to the following: Patterson Park; Jasa Kabob, Clavel, and Bmore Licks;l and the American Visionary Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Dan was born in Curitiba, Brazil and immigrated to South Florida with his family during elementary school. He later moved to Atlanta, GA before going on to complete his undergraduate degree in clinical psychology at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) where he split his time between table tennis, football games and clearing snow. Seeking slightly warmer weather, he moved to Washington D.C. where he attended GW for medical school. Since coming to Hopkins, his favorite thing about the Osler Residency Program is that it immediately welcomes you into a family of the most phenomenal, kind, intelligent and supportive people from co-residents to faculty to staff. These are the people that make Hopkins such a special place to train. Outside of the hospital, Dan enjoys playing futebol, exploring the outdoors around Baltimore (crabbing included) and spending time with his co-residents by the waterfront.

Rishi was raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, CA where his family emphasized the importance of seeing different cultures.  He attended the Johns Hopkins University where he completed his undergraduate studies in Chemical/Biomolecular Engineering and Mathematics with a masters degree in Bioinformatics during which time he developed a passion for research.  Rishi subsequently completed an MD/PhD program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where he combined his medicine and research interests by pursuing his graduate work studying translational cardiovascular pharmacology.  His hobbies include travel, cooking, podcasts, and being a diehard fan of LA sports teams (both the city and the state).  Rishi's favorite aspects of the Osler Medical Residency include the autonomy afforded to residents, mentorship, opportunities to work with world leaders in medicine, and the chance to work and learn alongside outstanding co-residents.  His favorite things to do in Baltimore are the walking on the Fells waterfront, reminiscing his college years at the Homewood campus, and exploring the vibrant multicultural food scene in the city.

Anna-Carson, also known as A-C, was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN where she attended Girls Preparatory School in high school. She ventured to Rome, Georgia to attend Berry College (the largest campus in the world!) where she double majored in Biochemistry and Spanish. During her time at Berry she studied abroad in Costa Rica and in Glasgow, Scotland where she decided to apply to medical school. She took a break from school for a year during which she worked as a medical assistant, FMLA customer service representative and married the love of her life, Graham Uhelski. She started medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN where she discovered her love of oncology and great BBQ. A-C LOVES to dance, cook/bake, yoga, crafts, hosting parties, hiking, and cuddling with her husband and furbabies (Rosie, Scotty, and Ollie). She loves this program and could talk all day about what makes this program great. However, her favorite part about the Osler program are the incredible people that make up the program. Everyone is so supportive and eager to learn, to teach and to provide exceptional care to every single patient. A-C has grown to love Baltimore and particularly enjoys spending time with her small group at her Church, the great hiking spots just outside the city, jogging in Patterson Park or along the Inner Harbor, and eating her way through the city to try find the best crab cake in town.

She was excited to join the Osler Medical Residency for the unmatched breadth and depth of clinical teaching and incredible camaraderie. After nearly a decade in Baltimore, Marija continues to explore new places in and around the area. Neha was born and raised in Greensboro, NC; she is the youngest of three sisters. She attended UNC Chapel Hill for undergrad, where she majored in Public Health with a minor in Creative Writing. She continued at UNC Chapel Hill for medical school, where she grew passionate about Medical Oncology with a special interest in gynecologic malignancies. Outside of medicine, she loves hiking with her sweet rescued Lab mix, Daisy, and reading and writing creative nonfiction. She is inspired daily by the strong commitment Osler residents and faculty have to providing exceptional patient care to a diverse population while constantly pushing one another to learn and grow. She is also excited to be a part of the inaugural Med Ed Pathway! Her favorite places in and around Baltimore include the Waterfront Promenade, the Northern Central Railroad Trail, Boordy Vineyards, and Oregon Ridge Park.

Judith Vick is from Baltimore, Maryland. After attending Barnard College in New York, working for the Barnard Writing Program, and conducting research in Boston, she moved back to Baltimore for medical school at Hopkins. The Osler program was her first choice for Internal Medicine residency after experiencing firsthand -- as a family caregiver and later as a medical student -- the passion for medicine and focus on teaching and learning that’s baked into the program. She lives in Hampden in a 19th-century-cotton-mill-turned-mix-use-building, Mill No 1, with her two kittens (Molly and Rashi), and she plans a career as an academic hospitalist and health services researcher. Two things she loves about Baltimore are Druid Hill Park (with an Artifact cold brew in hand) and snowballs in the summertime.

Richard decided to return to Baltimore and come to Johns Hopkins for residency because of the supportive environment and excellent training. Admasu was born in rural Ethiopia, a place called Debre Elias which is about 340 km Northwest from the capital Addis Ababa. He studied Biochemistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He attended the same university for medical school. When he came to Johns Hopkins for the interview, he was impressed with how much time the whole team spends at the bedside. He appreciated learning from great educators and world class clinicians as well as amazing co-residents. In Baltimore, he enjoys taking long walks in the park as well as getting tacos from his favorite Mexican restaurant, Taqueria El Sabor del Parque. He also likes cooking Ethiopian food.
