The Department of Clinical Nutrition at Johns Hopkins Bayview provides nutrition services to all areas of the campus. Departmental team members include clinical dietitians, clinical dietitian specialists, senior clinical dietitians and the director for clinical nutrition. The department offers comprehensive nutritional assessment, intervention and education to patients and their families.

Clinical staff of the department of nutrition are registered and licensed dietitians and members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as the Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Many have advanced certifications in areas such as diabetes education and nutrition support.

Clinical Nutrition within the Johns Hopkins Health System aims to provide quality and compassionate nutrition care in an environment that promotes dignity and respect for each individual. Through a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach, in partnership with food service, we encourage excellence in the provision of nutrition care to patients and families. We function as an integral component of the Johns Hopkins Health System, supporting the needs of the staff and our communities, and the education of future dietitians and care providers.
