Johns Hopkins Health Plans Exceeds United Way Campaign Goal

money raised for a united way campaign

We did it! Last fall, Johns Hopkins Medicine kicked off its 2025 giving campaign in support of United Way of Central Maryland to raise funds for individuals and families in need throughout Maryland and the National Capital Region. The response from employees across the organization was nothing short of incredible, with Johns Hopkins Medicine raising an impressive $1.1 million.

Johns Hopkins Health Plans is thrilled to share that our employees contributed $65,530 to this important effort — surpassing our goal of $45,000! We’re proud of our team for showing up in a big way to support our community’s most vulnerable residents.

The impact of our employees’ generosity cannot be overstated. Thanks to this support, the strong collaboration between Johns Hopkins Medicine and United Way of Central Maryland ensures that essential resources will continue to serve those in need. This includes the 211 Maryland 24/7 helpline, which connects people with critical services, and the ALICE program, which supports individuals and families who are asset-limited, income-constrained and employed but still struggling to afford basic necessities.

Johns Hopkins Health Plans is deeply committed to strengthening the communities we serve by addressing the social and financial barriers that impact health and well-being. Together with United Way of Central Maryland, we continue to make a real and meaningful difference in the lives of Maryland residents.

The giving is not over! Keep an eye out for details on our Johns Hopkins Health Plans Healthy Drives Golf Tournament at Timbers at Troy Golf Course, coming up on June 12.
