Joy Mukherjee to Bring Transformative IT Leadership, Expertise

HANOVER, MD — Johns Hopkins Health Plans has announced the hiring of its new Vice President of Information Technology, Joy Mukherjee, who will serve as Chief Information Officer for the organization. Mukherjee will join Johns Hopkins Health Plans on Dec. 4. He most recently served as Vice President of Application Development and Support at CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization serving more than 2 million members.

An accomplished senior executive with nearly 30 years of experience leading and transforming IT, Mukherjee has worked within health plans for more than two decades, including various IT leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

In this role, Mukherjee will serve on the executive leadership team and lead the IT organization to advance Johns Hopkins Health Plans’ goals across many areas, including data and analytics, IT security, core system modernization, customer experience, and more.
