Mission Statement
The Pediatric Oncology Nursing Staff is committed to delivering extraordinary family-centered professional nursing care. Through our professional practice model/ primary nursing model and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, it is our mission to respond to the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of our patients and their families across the continuum of care. Through patient and family education, patient advocacy, and the incorporation of evidence based practice, it is our goal to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect in which to provide safe comprehensive care and promote healing.
Vision
As pediatric oncology nurses, it is our vision to foster a culture of nursing excellence. In a dynamic and collaborative environment, we will continually strive as individuals and as a team to assess our performance and to implement innovations for performance improvement. We will offer support to our colleagues and nurture our own resilience so that we have the fortitude necessary to mature as a team, experience personal and professional growth, and excel in the care of extremely sick children and their families.
