SOARING, a leader in clinical technician development, is a program designed to:

  • Qualify certified nursing assistants for clinical technician positions at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
  • Transition certified nursing assistants from chronic to the acute care settings.
  • Foster an environment of learning and excellence through education, clinical skills laboratory activities, simulation, clinical experiences, and mentoring for the development of confident and highly skilled clinical technicians.

In partnership with community colleges, The Johns Hopkins Hospital invites students who have completed an advanced-level patient care technician course to participate in an internship program, JHH SOARING program, preparing them for clinical technician positions at JHH in an acute care setting.

Candidates with one year of direct acute care experience are welcome to apply for open clinical technician positions.
