At Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging (JHMI), we are committed to maintaining high standards for patient safety, image quality and accessibility. Green Spring Station, Pavilion III, will offer additional MRI capacity with a new 3T MRI scanner

Patients can take advantage of our online direct scheduling options through MyChart for mammogram, ultrasound, X-ray, DEXA, CT or select MRI exams. Our team will take care of obtaining any necessary pre-authorization from the patient’s insurance. Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging accepts more insurances policies than hospital-based care facilities.

Our locations in Bethesda, Columbia, Green Spring Station (Lutherville) and White Marsh offer a variety of cardiac imaging exams includingcalcium scores, coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA) and cardiac MRI.

Q: How is JHMI responding to the COVID-19 variants and the rise in cases?

A: As COVID-19 infections increase in our state, our priority is that patients who visit our imaging centers continue to receive their necessary imaging safely. We have a team of radiologists, technologists, nurses and scheduling staff members who are charged with navigating ambulatory, emergency department and hospital imaging. Much like an air traffic control system, we guide every patient on where, when and how to land safely if they screen positive after initial questions. Our team has screened nearly 800 patients since the start of the pandemic. The Imaging Decision Tree, a flowchart of questions and responses, is used for any patient flagged as potentially positive for COVID-19 as our ambulatory settings are not equipped for imaging COVID positive or pending patients. A radiologist may contact you directly with additional questions on how to prioritize imaging.
