Critical Patient Prep for Cardiac CTA

The optimal heart rate for evaluation of the coronary arteries with a Cardiac CTA exam is under 60 beats per minute. By prescribing patients pre-appointment beta blockers, it improves imaging quality and reliability and reduces patient wait times during their appointments. Suggested regimens for pre-appointment heart rate control, including relative contraindications, are available here.
