Our Pharmacy Services

We offer comprehensive services for your home health needs, including:

  • If you’re going home after a hospital stay or outpatient visit at Johns Hopkins Medicine, we can have your prescriptions ready as you leave. We’re here when and where you need us, with pharmacies at our hospitals and clinics throughout Baltimore. And you don’t have to be a Johns Hopkins Medicine patient to come to our pharmacies. Find the hours and locations for a Johns Hopkins pharmacy near you.

  • If you need a specific medication that isn’t available as a standard prescription, our pharmacists can prepare custom, compound medications. We work closely with your doctors to tailor the exact combination, form and dose that’s right for you.

  • We accept most major health insurance plans and can bill your health insurance company directly.

  • Our pharmacies offer vaccination against many common diseases in accordance with the vaccination schedule recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For some vaccinations, you may need a prescription from your health care provider. Walk-ins are welcome, but you may need to make an appointment in some cases. Please contact us for details.

  • Whether you order your prescriptions in person, online or by phone, we can deliver them to your home. Or if you’ve traveled from across the country to receive care at Johns Hopkins, we can ship your medications directly to you. Contact your nearest Johns Hopkins pharmacy for details.

  • Ask for an interpreter if you have partial or total hearing loss or if English is not your primary language. Learn more about language services at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

  • Johns Hopkins Pharmacy provides certain medications at lower costs for people who don’t have health insurance, regardless of their age or income level. You might be eligible if:

    • You are a patient of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
    • You don’t have health insurance or other coverage that helps pay for medications.

Your doctor must write a prescription for you to purchase these medications. Download the latest medication access list, and contact your nearest Johns Hopkins pharmacy for more information.

  • Johns Hopkins Pharmacy provides collection receptacles for safe disposal of unused or expired medications. You can bring medications to our pharmacies during our normal business hours. Contact our pharmacies for more details.

We are proud to participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
