Dermatology Consultations

To refer a patient to Johns Hopkins for consultation, please fax a referral form to (410) 955-5322.  To schedule, please contact the most convenient outpatient location. 

Cutaneous Surgery (Mohs) Referral

To refer a case for surgical evaluation, excision, or Mohs Micrographic Surgery, please contact the Cutaneous Surgery Unit Coordinator at (410) 955-1588. Referrals may be faxed to (410) 955-1589. 

Dermatology Inpatient Consultations

Dermatology faculty members rotate to provide consultation on Dermatologic issues to inpatients at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. To request an inpatient consultation, inpatient attending doctors may contact the Dermatology On-Call pager via PagerBox.

Dermatopathology Case Referral

To submit glass slides for second opinion or confirming consultation, please refer to the Dermatopathology Referral Page or contact the Johns Hopkins Consult Office at (410) 955-2405. 

Hopkins Access Line (HAL)

The Hopkins Access Line (HAL) is a consultation and referral service provided by Johns Hopkins Medicine to referring physicians. Johns Hopkins Executive Health Program

The Department of Dermatology offers dermatologic services to participants in the Johns Hopkins Executive Health Program.  The Executive Health Program provides corporate executives a comprehensive health assessment and preventive strategy, paying special attention the needs of busy executives and their families. Evaluations are scheduled for one day, with a possible second day if additional tests are required. Before arriving at Hopkins, patients in the program are assisted with medical appointments and travel arrangements by courteous professionals who provide efficient access to our facilities. If needed, language interpretation and translation of medical records are provided for international patients and guests.
