We are devoted to improving the lives of children throughout our community and greater region.
At Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, our mission goes beyond patient care and training future health professionals — it’s about caring for the overall well-being of the communities we serve. Our Community Affairs & Engagement Team is dedicated to creating a healthier, safer and more connected community. Through strategic collaborations, advocacy and education, we focus on programming that improves maternal and child health, prevents injuries, promotes wellness, and strengthens relationships with the communities we serve.
-
Injury Prevention
Accidental injuries are among the leading causes of harm to children, yet many are preventable. Our Injury Prevention programs focus on car seat safety, drowning prevention, safe driving and other life-saving initiatives. By equipping parents and caregivers with knowledge and resources, we help protect the children in our community.
-
Nutrition and Wellness
Our experts see the value and importance of prevention for children of all ages. Whether in the clinic or in the community, we strive to provide the latest information on nutrition, fitness, and the most current trends. Our Nutrition & Wellness programs provide families with the tools for developing healthy and active lifestyles.
-
Maternal & Child Health
We believe every family deserves quality health care and support throughout their journey — from pregnancy to early childhood. Our Maternal & Child Health initiatives provide resources to ensure healthy beginnings for infants and their caregivers. By collaborating with local organizations, we work to educate families and improve birth outcomes.
