Stacy Suskauer Recognized for Brain Injury Rehabilitation Research
Congratulations to Dr. Stacy Suskauer for being selected to receive the 2016 Joshua B. Canton Scholar Award. This award is presented by the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and was established to recognize outstanding research and scientific contributions in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. Dr. Suskauer, who joined Johns Hopkins in 2007, is an associate professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as the director of the Brain Injury Clinical Research Center and a co-director of the Center for Brain Injury Recovery at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Dr. Suskauer's research focuses on understanding and improving outcomes after childhood brain injury. During her research career, Dr. Suskauer has authored and co-authored more than a dozen research articles covering various aspects of pediatric brain injuries. Her most recent article reports on subtle motor findings during recovery from pediatric traumatic brain injury.
