Each year we host the Johns Hopkins Medicine Ambulatory Nursing Conference, a dynamic gathering of dedicated professionals, thought leaders, and innovators in outpatient care. The SLC recommends for all Ambulatory Registered Nurses to register and complete the SLC | Introduction to Ambulatory RN class two weeks after completing the day 1-3 classes above. This course is required for JHCP. This course is instructor led and typically takes about 5.5 hours to complete.

Through strategic planning and operational leadership, the team works to strengthen the role of the registered nurse in ambulatory care and foster an environment that supports excellence in outpatient practice. The Johns Hopkins Medicine Ambulatory Specialty Council brings together nurses and nursing leaders from across the Johns Hopkins Health System and Johns Hopkins University, creating a collaborative forum that partners with established Health System Nursing Councils and informs the Johns Hopkins Health System Coordinating Council to guide shared initiatives that advance high-quality ambulatory care across the enterprise.

RISE: The Resilience in Stressful Events Team
The RISE (Resilience in Stressful Events) team provides confidential peer-to-peer support to anyone in the Johns Hopkins Medicine community who has experienced a stressful, patient-related incident. An adverse patient event can have a profound impact on care providers, any of whom may become a “second victim” who is traumatized by the stressful situation.
