The Office of Graduate Clinical Education

Statement from the Director

Johns Hopkins Medicine serves as a clinical training site for a large number and wide variety of training programs for Allied Health professions. The Office of Graduate Clinical Education (OGCE) has been established to provide a central source of assistance for Program Directors, Coordinators, trainees and departmental leadership as they work to optimize educational experiences.

The aims of the OGCE are to provide support and oversight for the Allied Health training programs in order to:

  • Facilitate sharing of exemplary practices and create aligned policies in support of these educational programs
  • Communicate institution-wide policies and protocols
  • Provide accreditation assistance
  • Assist programs in their efforts to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion among trainees including practices to recruit and retain a diverse healthcare workforce
  • Facilitate interprofessional education opportunities
  • Provide leadership and advice to program leaders facing challenges
  • Serve as a resource for preventing and addressing concerns about learner mistreatment
