What to Expect During Your Visit

  • When you schedule a consultation, we will start  by reviewing your child's current symptoms, medical history and overall experience with headaches. It’s useful to keep a headache diary, noting when headaches occur, and what your child was eating, drinking or doing before the headache started. Bring this diary with you to your appointment.
  • Our team treats children with all kinds of headaches. We conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the type of headache your child has and develop a custom plan to address it. Unless there are neurologic abnormalities or other red flags, tests such as brain scans, EEGs or blood work will not be necessary.
  • Our specialists will recommend medications and/or lifestyle modifications, such as exercise, diet and hydration, sleep hygiene, stress management and supplements, to help your child minimize or get rid of headaches.
