Clinical/Research Interests: glomerular diseases, lupus nephritis, transplant, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, hypertension and medical education
A Personal Touch: I enjoy drawing mandala art, exploring new neighborhoods, attending theater performances and concerts, cycling, playing video games, reading books and spending time with family and friends. Things I like about Baltimore include city's waterfront, historic neighborhoods and vibrant food scene.
Ammar Aladaileh, MBBS
Medical School: Mu'Tah University, Jordan
Residency: Hennepin Healthcare, Minnesota
Clinical/Research Interests: Glomerular diseases, home dialysis, nephrology medical education and simplifying complex medical concepts for learners. I am also interested in cardiovascular associations with ESRD and dialysis outcomes.
A Personal Touch: Outside of medicine, I am a big soccer fan and enjoy watching matches, spending time in nature and exploring new places. I’m looking forward to exploring Baltimore’s waterfront areas and parks.

A Personal Touch: I enjoy staying active through soccer and beach volleyball, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, and traveling whenever I get the chance.
Aleksandr Pospelov, MD

Residency: Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program (now UConn-Waterbury), Connecticut
Clinical/Research Interests: I am interested in glomerular diseases, electrolyte and acid-base disorders and academic nephrology. Teaching has become one of the most meaningful parts of my training, and I hope to continue developing as a clinician-educator.
A Personal Touch: Outside the hospital, I enjoy traveling, hiking, photography, exploring modern art museums and finding good coffee shops. I also speak Russian and Spanish, and I am excited to get to know Baltimore, especially its waterfront, neighborhoods, food scene and local culture.
Jackson Rajendran, MD

Clinical/Research Interests: Acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, critical care nephrology and outcomes research.
A Personal Touch: Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling with my wife, playing chess, volleyball, cricket, and frisbee, and exploring history. As someone who loves historic landmarks, I enjoy visiting Fort McHenry and I am looking forward to continuing to explore Baltimore.

Ziad Alahmadi, MBBS
Medical School: Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
Residency: University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland
Clinical/Research Interests: Medical education innovation drives my passion, particularly the development of interactive learning tools that enhance engagement and clinical reasoning. I have been increasingly intrigued by artificial intelligence and its growing potential applications in nephrology as well. I am also drawn to transplant nephrology and glomerular diseases, especially given the rapid advancements and expanding clinical complexity within these fields.
A Personal Touch: I enjoy reading about history, exploring nature, hiking, and trying different cuisines. Baltimore has been a welcoming home for me since it has plenty of scenic hikes around the area, and neighborhoods that each have their own character and food scene, which I have really enjoyed discovering.

A Personal Touch: Outside the hospital, I like hiking, especially in the fall and trying new places since I'm new to Baltimore while trying to find the perfect tiramisu.

A Personal Touch: I enjoy riding motorcycles and recently adopted a cat who does not ride motorcycles. My favorite thing about Maryland thus far are the civil war battlefield historical sites and pit beef sandwiches as well as its proximity to Shenandoah national park.

A Personal Touch: Outside of work, I like to run, play pickleball, and go to O’s games. My favorite pastime is boating.

A Personal Touch: I enjoy spending time with my family whenever I get the chance. I believe in staying active and trying to be active whether it is lifting weights, walking by the water, or being involved with VOLO sports. I am a big foodie and have explored a lot of the Baltimore food scene (which is impressive I must say!). I am hands on and enjoy cooking and doing DIY projects. I love Baltimore because it allows me to be by the water, explore an amazing food scene, and experience southern kindness in a city.
