The Geographical Management of Cancer Health Disparities Program (GMaP) is a national program designed to enhance capacity in the areas of:
- disparities research,
- recruitment and career/professional development of underrepresented investigators, trainees, and students,
- communication and dissemination,
- and evaluation.
GMaP builds region-based “hubs” for the support and efficient management of cancer health disparities research, training, and outreach. The Center to Reduce Cancer Disparities facilitates the Kimmel Cancer Center's involvement in GMaP, partnering with the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center and University of South Carolina to lead GMaP activities for Region 1 North.
