Department of Neuroscience
The Solomon H. Snyder Department of Neuroscience is co-located in the School of Medicine and Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. The department, led by Richard Huganir, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Neuroscience and Psychological and Brain Sciences, has led pioneering discoveries in brain research and manages undergraduate and graduate training programs. With faculty from both schools and other collaborating institutes, centers and departments at Johns Hopkins, there are more than 1,000 scientists working on brain-related research, 450 undergraduates majoring in neuroscience and 121 neuroscience Ph.D. students.
