The Johns Hopkins Summer Jobs Program is sponsored by Johns Hopkins Health System and Johns Hopkins University. The program provides students surrounding our health and university campuses the opportunity to complete an seven-week long paid internship in one of various departments throughout the Institution. The program promotes exposure to careers and workplace culture, while providing an educational experience that promotes mentoring and fosters personal responsibility.

- Florida: Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital: June 8 — July 24
- Maryland and DC Hospitals: June 22 — Aug. 7
- June 19th for Johns Hopkins Hospital Interns
Timeline
We highly recommend that interested interns routinely refer to the timelines provided as failure to meet deadlines will result in being excused from consideration.
- Application Period: Jan. 2 — Feb. 15
- Interviews: February 24 – 26 and March 3 - 5
- Onboarding Period: March 30 – May 15

- All JHSJP participants must be 16 years of age or older by the program start date.
- Interns interested in working at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Johns Hopkins University and health providers in and around Baltimore City must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Baltimore City or Baltimore County resident
- If you are a Baltimore City resident, apply through the Baltimore City YouthWorks program and select Johns Hopkins as your employer of choice

- Be to work on time for the duration of the program
- Help maintain learning and working environments that are free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner by:
- Using appropriate and professional language
- Being timely and transparent with communication
- Actively participating in assigned work and tasks
- Dress code
- Appropriate, business casual attire with closed toed shoes
- The above attire is acceptable unless your supervisor reaches out with specific uniform requirements
