Learning and Development

The Learning and Development Department comprises dedicated specialists with diverse expertise in organizational design, development and effectiveness, leadership development, change management, instructional design and technology, performance management, and career development. Together, they collaboratively work towards helping JHM achieve and exceed organizational goals to ensure Johns Hopkins is an employer of choice.

Learning Operations

The Learning Operations team specializes in streamlining learning processes, optimizing user experiences, and facilitating comprehensive business process implementation. We offer easy access to vital learning resources, and an overview of upcoming learning events, workshops, or training sessions organized or supported by the Learning & Development Department.

Workforce Development

The Workforce Development team is your partner in career advancement and exploration. We provide career development through occupationally-based training, career coaching, and other options. We also offer youth career development and exploration through the Summer Jobs Program and Internship opportunities. Additionally, we create Journey Maps for entry-level employees or critical paths to guide your career to success.

Leadership & Organizational Development (L&OD)

The L&OD team is dedicated to enhancing JHHS leadership capabilities, teamwork, and overall organizational performance. We offer leadership development and learning opportunities for our leaders, organizational development support in the form of change management, team building, and performance assessment, and onboarding support for all new employees.

Learning Technology & Innovation (LTI)

The LTI team plays a crucial role in shaping educational experiences through technology integration and innovative adult learning strategies. Our responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing annual mandatory training throughout the health system and clinical annual education across JHM, and evaluating the technical marketplace of learning management systems. We also provide guidance and training to approximately 500 myLearning System Administrators across the health system and collaborate with the L&OD team to assess, design, and create e-learning and leadership courses.
