Bariatric surgery can be a way to improve health for people who have obesity and have not had success with other weight loss methods. The Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatric Surgery, with locations in Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., offers a comprehensive approach to surgical weight loss. Our multispecialty team of bariatric surgeons, dietitians, psychologists and nurse navigators supports each patient before, during and after surgery.

To get started, choose your preferred surgery location and follow the steps, which include attending an information session and filling out a health history questionnaire. Both locations offer the same Johns Hopkins quality of care, have equally experienced teams and private patient rooms specially equipped for patients undergoing bariatric surgery.
