Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation

Sibley Otolaryngology Group

Washington Hearing and Speech is a sub-group of the Sibley Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, focused on improving the hearing and speech of our patients. Our group specializes in:

  • Speech and language services, which provide evaluation and treatment of acquired speech, language and cognitive disorders, voice disorders, swallowing disorders and developmental speech and language disorders. Learn more about these services.
  • Audiology services, including hearing testing for adults and children, hearing screenings for newborns, hearing aid evaluations and fittings and assistive listening equipment. Learn more about these services.

Speech Pathology

Sonia Oh and Erin Hollister

Sonia Oh, M.S., CCC-SLP

Washington Hearing and Speech Supervisor

Oh joined Sibley in 2016 and serves as the supervisor for Washington Hearing and Speech. A speech pathologist by trade, she is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia. Oh is also a certified LSVT LOUD for the Parkinson’s population and a VitalStim provider for swallowing disorders. She holds Bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Communication Disorders from University of Virginia, and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from James Madison University.

Erin Hollister, M.S., CCC-SLP

Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist

Hollister joined Sibley in 2016 after receiving her Bachelor's degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences and her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Maryland. She completed her clinical fellowship with Sibley in spring 2017. She is currently certified in LSVT LOUD and VitalStim therapy.


Karen Corkery

Karen A. Corkery, M.Ed., CCC-A


Corkery joined Sibley in 2018. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and is licensed to practice in both District of Columbia and Maryland. Ms. Corkery received her B.A. in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, and her M.Ed in Audiology from James Madison University. Ms. Corkery has over 20 years experience, working both private ENT and Neurology offices, and has served as Supervisor of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program at her prior hospital. She is a lifelong Washingtonian, and is busy in her spare time raising her five children.
