About the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital

The mission of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center is to go beyond the cutting edge in science and medicine to perform the most advanced research and translate the discoveries into the very best cancer therapies. Johns Hopkins is annually top-ranked by U.S. News & World Report in cancer, and is one of 41 designated comprehensive cancer centers recognized by the National Cancer Institute. The Center was one of the first to earn comprehensive cancer center status.

Meet our Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Catherine Bishop

Catherine Bishop, D.N.P., N.P., AOCNP

Catherine Bishop is a nurse practitioner with an extensive background in oncology. Dr. Bishop spent over a decade at George Washington University Cancer Center and in private oncology practice caring for a variety of cancer patients. She has published in several peer reviewed journals on topics such as breast cancer and hematological malignancies. Dr. Bishop is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and certified as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner.
