Total Shoulder Replacement and Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement
Total shoulder replacement is a complex procedure that involves replacing the shoulder joint with artificial parts. Our shoulder surgeons have performed numerous shoulder replacements, including primary (first-time) procedures and revision shoulder replacements after a prior unsuccessful surgery. Reverse total shoulder replacement is one of the procedures our specialists are skilled at and have performed on more than 500 patients over the last decade.
Clinical Trials: New Technologies for Shoulder Damage
Orthopaedic shoulder surgeon Uma Srikumaran is excited to be able to offer patients new shoulder treatments through his participation in several ongoing FDA clinical trials. These new technologies include a balloon spacer for patients with massive rotator cuff tears, a special cage for the treatment of complex proximal humerus fractures and a new alternative surface to metal for shoulder arthroplasty devices.
