Dr. Christine Jelinek

Christine Jelinek, Ph.D. is a Diana Helis Henry Medical Research Foundation Research Fellow with the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.

After completing her doctoral research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine under the advisement of Robert J. Cotter, she entered into a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology under his advisement which was completed in 2013. Dr. Jelinek then accepted a research fellowship at John Hopkins under the advisement of Dr. Jennifer Van Eyk in the Department of Cardiology, and Drs. Ted and Valina Dawson in the Department of Neurology.

Dr. Jelinek is currently working to identify and validate biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease using mass spectrometric-based strategies. Within this context she is responsible for developing and validating quantitative mass spectrometry biomarker assays using clinical patient sample cohorts.
