Out of more than 4,500 hospitals assessed, The Johns Hopkins Hospital ranked #1 in Maryland and #4 in the nation on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2021–22 Honor Roll. The publication also ranked 12 specialties at Johns Hopkins among the top 10 in the nation, with two — Psychiatry and Rheumatology — ranking #1. The hospital has been designated as one of the top 5 hospitals in the nation for all 32 years of the U.S. News and World Report rankings.
All five Johns Hopkins Medicine member hospitals in Maryland and Washington, D.C., were recognized in the regional rankings.
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center ranked #6 (tie) in Maryland and #6 (tie) in the Baltimore region. Howard County General Hospital ranked #11 (tie) in Maryland and #9 in the Baltimore region. Sibley Memorial Hospital ranked #4 (tie) in the Washington, D.C., metro region. Suburban Hospital ranked #8 in Maryland and #9 in the Washington, D.C., metro region.
