• Committed to the care of disadvantaged and vulnerable populations in domestic urban settings
• Experts in medical and social conditions common in domestic vulnerable urban settings
• Future leaders of primary care, academia, public health and/or health advocacy organizations

The Osler Medical Residency, world-renowned since its founding in 1889, is famous for its academic rigor, its esprit de corps, its focus on general medical wards and clinics, and its unwavering commitment to comprehensive care for the residents of East Baltimore.

Diversity, inclusion, and antiracism are central values of our program. We strive to create a program with residents who have diverse experiences and who feel supported by our program and the institution. Dr. Angela Orozco serves as our director of diversity and inclusion and teaches about racism, implicit bias, and motivational interviewing.

Your wellness is our top priority during residency. We provide administrative time, personal days for health appointments and self-care, and we even make appointments for mental health check-ins, PCP appointments, and dental appointments for our interns. We have thoughtfully and intentionally built our UH and MP community.
