Once considered a benign alternative to smoking tobacco, recent evidence indicates vaping poses a significant health risk to both users and non-users. A growing number of reports are emerging of illnesses and even deaths resulting from vaping. As of October 17, 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a total of 1,479 lung injury cases and 33 deaths associated with vaping.
Tune in as Suburban Hospital and Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, in partnership with Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, the American Lung Association and Montgomery County Cancer Crusade, gather medical and public health experts to discuss the dangers of smoking and vaping and share prevention and cessation resources.
Watch LIVE on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, 1-2 p.m. (ET) on Suburban Hospital’s Facebook page @SuburbanHospital.
