Tailored Cancer Treatments

Our medical and radiation oncologists, and surgeons, as well as pathologists, radiologists, pain medicine specialists, oncology nurses, patient navigators, social workers, geneticists, lymphedema specialists and others work together to support each patient’s experience. Patients at our center benefit from the expertise of our multidisciplinary team and have access to clinical trials. An individualized care plan is developed for every patient that maximizes the opportunity for a successful outcome. We also offer reconstructive breast surgery. A Full Array of Cancer Treatments

Our breast cancer experts offer a range of tailored treatment options, including chemotherapy and radiation, and surgery, as well as endocrine therapy and targeted therapies, such as anti-HER2 therapy.
Proton Therapy

Some cancers may benefit from proton therapy, which uses high energy beams to deliver radiation. The Johns Hopkins Proton Therapy Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital is one of the largest and most advanced centers in the U.S., with three treatment rooms.

Programs offered at Sibley for cancer survivors include classes in yoga, meditation and mindfulness, reiki and art therapy. We also host a breast cancer support group at Sibley, a survivorship series for post-treatment education and support, and an annual Living with Breast Cancer symposium at Suburban. Many options have been moved to online resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.
