In the Pediatric Burn Outpatient Clinic, your child will be seen by specialized nurse practitioners, physician assistants, child life therapists and/or physicians. Your child’s wound will be checked and a plan will be devised. If pain medicine was ordered, please give it to your child 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.

Your child may also be scheduled to see an occupational therapist (OT) for evaluation and management of scarring. If you are scheduled to see OT, you will be seen in The Johns Hopkins Hospital at 600 N. Wolfe St. in Outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation on the first floor of the Meyer Building.
