Adult Community Programs
The Office of Strategic Workforce Development partners with several community and faith based organizations (CFBOs), agencies and industry intermediaries to provide job training and other experiential learning opportunities to adults residing in communities throughout East Baltimore, the Greater Baltimore region, and other Johns Hopkins Health System locations.
Community residents referred to our office by one of CFBO partners receive customized occupational skills, workforce development and other trainings to prepare them for employment with JHHS. This opportunity to create access to JHHS through community partnership workplace preparation is our main focus: Some services/programs include, but are not limited:
- JHHS employment application assistance
- Information sessions on critical position shortages
- Coordinated training programs with CFBO partners
- Career Planning & Coaching for employment at a JHHS member organization

If you are a community resident interested in gaining workforce and/or occupational skills training that could potentially lead to employment with one of the member organizations included in the Johns Hopkins Health System, please register with one of the American Job Centers managed by the workforce development agency in your area:

These workforce development agencies can assist you with your workforce development and/or occupational career training goals, and may also be able to connect you with other community-based organizations/agencies that can help you with other supports you may need.
