Visitor Policy

Due to COVID-19, we have updated our visitor policy to keep our patients and our community safe.

All laboring mothers will receive a rapid-COVID 19 test upon arrival at the labor and delivery unit. If they have brought a support person with them, this visitor will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

  • If COVID-19 negative, patients are allowed one (1) visitor during active labor and delivery and immediately after delivery. If COVID-19 positive, patients are not allowed a visitor.
  • If you are having a Cesarean birth and test negative for COVID-19, you are allowed one support person in the operating room and recovery room. Your support person must pass a COVID-19 screening assessment and live with you.
  • Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to visit in Labor and Delivery.
  • You may have one visitor stay with you overnight in the postpartum unit but they will not be allowed to reenter if they leave the premises.
For the security of our babies, every visitor must present a valid driver’s license or a government approved photo ID to enter the unit. No exceptions.
