Before Your Visit

We know you may have a lot on your mind before your appointment. The steps below will help you prepare for your visit so you can focus on what matters most—your care.

Traveling for Care
If you are traveling from out of town, our social worker can assist you with travel planning, lodging and connect you with resources.

- Identifying nearby hotels and housing options
- Connecting you with available support resources
What to Expect at Your Appointment

We encourage you to bring a support person, if possible, to your visits. Appointments may last several hours depending on your care needs and may include:
Imaging, such as ultrasound or MRI
- Consultations with fetal therapy specialists
- A discussion of your diagnosis and treatment options
- Understanding your insurance and financial information.
We accept a wide range of insurance plans. A financial counselor is available at your appointment to help you understand your coverage and any potential costs.

Bring any requested medical records or imaging, your insurance information, a photo ID, and a list of questions you’d like to discuss with your care team. You may also find it helpful to bring a notebook to take notes.

Appointments may last several hours, depending on the type of imaging and consultations needed. We recommend planning for a half-day visit.
