Biography
Shannon Dummer (pronounced Dümmer), D.N.P., F.N.P.-C., joins Johns Hopkins Community Physicians with more than eleven years of clinical experience. She grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and attended SUNY University at Buffalo for her bachelor’s of science in nursing. Upon graduation, she proudly served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps for eight years as a board-certified emergency room nurse, where she held the rank of Lieutenant. She attended the University of Maryland for her doctoral family nurse practitioner degree, and is currently participating in the Johns Hopkins SNAPT Primary Care Fellowship. She enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level to develop a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to best guide the treatment plan.
N.P. Dummer lives in Middletown, Maryland with her husband and two dogs. She is a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, and enjoys fitness, watching old horror/sci-fi movies, doing jigsaw puzzles, and crafting in her off-time.
