Biography
Laura MacDonald, C.R.N.P., comes to Johns Hopkins Community Physicians after spending five years at our Dundalk practice, following two years as an emergency department nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, she spent 10 years in cardiac surgery, medical, surgical and cardiac ICU nursing. N.P. MacDonald graduated from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, with a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing.
N.P. MacDonald genuinely cares about every patient interaction she has, a value that comes from her background in nursing. She loves to teach and values creating a health care plan that works for each patient and is individualized to their needs. Growing up in a big Navy family, N.P. MacDonald has a special appreciation for military families and is excited to care for the Glen Burnie community.
When not working or staying on top of the latest medical news, N.P. MacDonald loves live music, travel, and spending time with her three children and two mischievous kittens, who joined the family following the recent passing of her geriatric cat.
