How Your Gift Helps the Brady Urological Institute
At the Brady Urological Institute, we have a long-standing tradition of delivering the best urological care available. Through a collaborative multidisciplinary effort, our urologists work together to address the most difficult medical questions: how to treat and eventually cure and prevent challenging urologic diseases and disorders.
Gifts to the Brady enable our many physicians and scientists to tackle groundbreaking research, improve patient outcomes and train the next generation of urologists. We strive to bring scientific research and discovery into clinical services to improve the lives of our patients and those throughout the world.
Recording: Ecology Meets Cancer Biology
Dr. Amend presents background information on the Keystone Cancer Cell, and review our current efforts to design treatment strategies that target the unique vulnerabilities of these cells, a theory called evolutionary double bind.
Recording: Prostate Cancer in the Black Community
Drs. Faisal and Fletcher summarize what we know about tumor biology and socioeconomic factors that likely contribute to this major health disparity. They also present research conducted at the Brady and across the U.S. to further understand the reasons for this disparity.
Recording: 1,000 Exstrophies: Lessons Learned for Families and Physicians
In his presentation, Dr. John Gearhart describes the clinical and surgical advances he has learned along the way from his patients, their families and colleagues, and discusses the future of the field.
Recording: Cancer Survivorship: Opportunities of Reconstructive Urology
Dr. Andrew Cohen presents on the opportunities of reconstructive urology such as novel prosthetic devices, tissue engineering techniques and robotic platforms designed and tailored to accelerate complete recovery, as well as our scientific discovery for cancer survivorship.
