Verified Level 1 Surgery Center

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has been verified as a Level 1 Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons Children’s Surgery Verification Quality Improvement Program.

Verified centers must meet standards that ensure that children facing surgery receive care under a multidisciplinary program with quality improvement and safety processes, data collection, and appropriate resources provided to them as patients at the hospital.

Johns Hopkins All Children’s was the third children’s hospital in Florida and is the only one in the Tampa Bay region to achieve Level 1 verification.

Collaborations

We are part of the Pediatric Surgery Quality Collaborative, a quality improvement initiative of children’s hospitals around the United States focused on using data from member hospitals to improve pediatric surgery processes and outcomes.

We submit data to the National Surgical Quality Improve Program-Pediatric, a pediatric surgery registry through the American College of Surgeons that helps hospitals collect reliable clinical data to improve quality.
