Education

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Program

The education of patients, families and the general population regarding the nature and treatment of OCD is a primary goal of our program. We feel that it is critical that individual suffering from this disorder feel empowered to get the best available treatment without concerns about stigma.

To this end we are available to meet with or to make presentations to interested  community organizations.

We make sure that we are available at patient-oriented meetings such as the annual OC Foundation meeting. Our group is also represented on the Scientific Advisory Board of the OCFoundation and its ‘Speaker’s Bureau.’

We are also intent on educating the scientific community regarding the most recent research findings for OCD. We make scientific presentations at many local, national, and international meetings. These include:  the OCFoundation, American Psychiatric Association, Anxiety Disorders Association of America, and the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics.

Drs. Nestadt, Wuyek, Grados, Riddle, Bienvenu and others on our team train medical students and residents in the diagnosis and treatment of OCD.
