Marion Bennett was born with a congenital heart defect called, transposition of the great arteries, which weakened her heart over time.

She came to Johns Hopkins where specialists at the Comprehensive Transplant Center performed a lifesaving heart transplant procedure which corrected her congenital heart defect.
