Become a Leader in
Abdominal Transplant Surgery
The Johns Hopkins Abdominal Transplant Fellowship program offers a unique experience for talented residents from the U.S. and abroad to train at one of the nation’s best hospitals.
This multi-organ transplant fellowship is an ASTS-certified two-year program for liver and kidney transplant training. We are also ASTS approved to provide Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary certification. We have three fellows rotating through our program and we accept one to two transplant fellows each year.

Benefits and Salary
We anticipate the salary for the initial year of the appointment will be at least $70,000. This amount is subject to final adjustment and approval.
As employees of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, fellows will be eligible for a full set of benefit options for themselves and their dependents. Details regarding benefits can be found here.
Each fellow will be allowed two weeks of vacation (not including required or elective conferences, with approval of the program director). This must overlap with their DCR rotations. The DCR fellow is responsible for informing all fellows and attendings of their upcoming vacation time at least one month in advance.
Education and Professional Development Resources
Fellows will be supported to travel to research conferences, should they get an abstract accepted. During the second year of fellowship, the fellows will also be supported to go to the fellow American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) conference and the ASTS living donor nephrectomy workshop.
