Art & Architecture Enhance Your Visit

Mr. Hopkins' Novel IdeaMr. Hopkins’ Novel Idea explores some of the art, architecture and artifacts associated with Mr. Johns Hopkins’ vision for a university-based hospital and medical school.

Can thoughtful architecture and a beautiful environment support the healing process? We think they can. Patients staying in the Zayed Tower and the Bloomberg Children's Center enjoy some of the most beautiful and carefully designed patient care spaces in the world.

The Design Partners

Architects from Perkins + Will, landscape architects from OLIN, along with consulting architect Allen Kolkowitz and curator Nancy Rosen, have helped create a seamless connection between the art and architecture of the Zayed Tower and the Bloomberg Children’s Center.

Featured artists include Brooklyn-based Spencer Finch, set designer Robert Israel, artist Jim Boyd, and a long list of local and nationally renowned artists whose work was inspired by nature and children’s literature and is now on permanent display throughout the facilities.

Learn more about the art and architecture of the Zayed Tower and Bloomberg Children's Center by browsing the art highlights below.
