Anna George, Psy.D

Anna George, Psy.D.Pediatric Psychologist
 

Dr. Anna George is a staff psychologist within the Pediatric Medical Psychology Program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Children’s Hospital.  She specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with chronic and acute medical conditions.  Dr. George serves as a primary behavioral consultant to pediatric medical clinics, such as the Center for Sweat Disorders and within dermatology.  She works routinely with multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate and treat children, adolescents and young adults emotionally impacted by their physical conditions such as hyperhidrosis, which can cause substantial social and relationship problems.
 
Dr. George provides evidence-based interventions for distress related to medical procedures, coping with physical side effects, and emotional reactions such as depression and anxiety.  She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at The Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Md.
