I would like to extend a warm welcome and invitation for you to apply to the Johns Hopkins General Surgery Residency Training Program. Within a culture of excellence and innovation, our program’s mission is to recruit, train, support, and promote a diverse group of residents to become the future leaders in academic surgery. Our curriculum is designed to train technically adept surgeons with exceptional clinical judgment, to foster the development of academic scholarship and discovery, and to stimulate a passion for education. We aim to recruit a diverse group of individuals and nurture an environment of inclusion for them to thrive. Upon completion of our program, graduates are poised to pursue academic surgical careers and are highly competitive for opportunities including additional fellowship training.
