From the Residency Program Directors

We welcome your interest in our pediatric residency program! Whether you plan a career in an academic subspecialty, general community pediatrics, general academic pediatrics, health policy, public health or global health, our goal is to prepare each resident for the next phase in his or her career.

Our program provides a strong foundation in knowledge, clinical skill, decision-making, evidence-based medicine and leadership; this while also allowing the flexibility needed for residents to explore various career paths with individualized guidance from experienced and dedicated faculty members. Our residents come from over 40 different medical schools and from every region of the country. Residents from these diverse backgrounds and interests work, in collaboration with faculty in all areas of pediatrics and other disciplines, to provide the best possible care for patients in the best possible learning environment. 

We all have found it a privilege to work so closely with our residents. Special pathways that meet the requirements of The American Board of Pediatrics and other relevant Boards accommodate training needs of residents with particular career goals.
